The Financial Institutions and non Bank -Financial Instiutions business within Trade & Corporate Finance provides a concentrated focus on clients in the Emerging Markets across Central Eastern Europe, Middle East, Turkey, Central Asia and Russia. A team of experienced individuals with an in depth knowledge of the local and international markets allows client access to direct traditional financing and more wholesale and structured solutions including cross-border risk mitigation. The FI Relationship Origination team is able to open the doors to a global multi-product platform to the SIH Group.

Earlier days at The Chase Manhattan Bank were spent in the Investment Bank for UK Government Securities, Merchant Banking and Global Trade Finance. Jeanette is now responsible for SB Banking FIs initiative reporting to Mark Batts. Steve joined the Credit division in Johannesburg and initially assumed responsibility for projects related to the banks initiatives in credit derivatives and securitisation. Six months thereafter, Steve assumed the role of Head, Financial Institutions and Treasury Credit with primary responsibility for the credit evaluation of Financial Institutions in Developed markets and Sub-Saharan Africa and also the quantification of credit risk related to treasury products. Steve joined Standard Bank plc in November 2005 in a relationship manager capacity covering Financial Institutions in Turkey, the Middle East and North Africa. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
