Prior to that, he was with Republic National Bank of New York as Co-Head of the Derivative Products Group in London. Anthony has been in investment banking since 1986, when he joined S.G. Anthony is responsible for Standard Bank’s Specialised Finance unit, which includes our acquisition finance, structured finance and insurance premium finance capabilities. At Republic, he fulfilled various trading and structuring roles in the global asset trading and foreign exchange options teams. Latterly, he joined Republic Financial Products where he traded on- and off-balance sheet credit products and ultimately led Republic's entry to the credit derivatives market. Within Standard Bank, Tim is a member of the Specialised Finance team which is an active arranger and underwriter of structured and acquisition financings. Simon spent 5 years working as a member of Standard Bank Plc’s Corporate Banking Department, with specific responsibility for providing international banking services to Standard Bank’s South African corporate client base. In 2002, Simon joined Global Distribution where his responsibilities included arranging, structuring and distributing syndicated loans in Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa and secondary market loan trading. Simon is now a member of Specialised Finance which is active in the fields of structured finance, Islamic finance and acquisition finance; Simon has specific responsibilities for the Islamic finance product and marketing in the Middle East region. Simon is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and has a BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Reading and a BSc (Hons) in Financial Services from The University of Manchester.
